Classification of planer machine

Shaper

The shaper is used for planing medium and small workpieces, and its working length is generally not more than LM. The workpiece is clamped on the adjustable worktable or in the flat tongs on the worktable and planed by using the linear reciprocating motion (cutting motion) of the planer and the intermittent motion (feed motion) of the worktable. According to the length of workpieces that can be processed, the shaper can be divided into three types: large, medium and small: small shaper can process workpieces with a length of less than 400mm, such as b635-1 shaper; medium shaper can process workpieces with a length of 400-600mm, such as b650 shaper; large shaper can process workpieces with a length of 400-1000mm, such as B665 and b69o shaper Bed.

Planer machine

It is a planer for planing large workpieces. Some planers can process workpieces with a length of tens of meters or even more. For example, b2063 planer has a worktable area of 6.3m × 20m. For small and medium workpieces, it can be clamped several times on the worktable at a time, and it can also be planed with several planers at the same time, with high productivity. The planer uses the direct reciprocating motion (cutting) of the worktable and the intermittent movement (feed motion) of the planer to carry out planing. According to the different structural forms, the planer is divided into two types: single arm planer and double arm column planer. The gantry planer mainly processes large workpieces or multiple workpieces at the same time. Compared with the shaper, from the structure, it has large body, complex structure and good rigidity. From the movement of the machine tool, the main movement of the planer is the linear reciprocating movement of the worktable, while the feed movement is the horizontal or vertical intermittent movement of the planer, which is just the opposite of the movement of the shaper. The gantry planer is driven by DC motor and can be adjusted steplessly with stable movement. All tool holders of the planer can move horizontally and vertically. Gantry planer is mainly used to process large plane, especially long and narrow plane. Generally, the width of workpiece that can be planed is 1 meter, and the length is more than 3 meters. The main parameter of the planer is the maximum planing width. The tool holder on the crossbeam of the gantry planer can move horizontally on the crossbeam guide rail to plane the horizontal plane of the workpiece; the side tool holder on the column can move vertically along the column guide rail to plane the vertical plane. The tool holder can also deflect a certain angle to plane the inclined plane. The crossbeam can rise and fall along the column guide rail to adjust the relative position of the tool and the workpiece. The gantry planer is mainly used to process the plane or groove on the large parts, or to process multiple medium-sized parts at the same time, especially for the processing of the long and narrow plane. The workpieces on the planer are generally pressed by pressing plate bolts. On the planer, there is a set of complex electrical equipment and route system, and the movement of the worktable can be adjusted steplessly. The main difference is that the slotting tool of the slotting machine makes linear reciprocating motion (cutting motion) in the vertical direction. Besides the longitudinal and transverse intermittent feed motion, the worktable can also make intermittent rotary feed motion in the circular room. According to the different transmission modes, planers can be divided into two types: mechanical transmission and hydraulic transmission: mechanical transmission of shapers, gantry planers and slotting machines; hydraulic transmission of shapers and slotting machines.
